Google’s monthly version number check-in has arrived, and if you had been expected to Lollipop in order to make some major headlines, the figure is removed from it. Lollipop barely makes 5. 4% of the entire Android install base, something that’s really disappointing for the operating system which was a announced almost a year ago, which was released five months ago. The excellent news is old versions from the OS like Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean have seen a decrease, and KitKat has seem some growth.
Bear in mind though that these numbers don’t include the launch of Android’s biggest players for 2015, being the Samsung Galaxy S6 and also the HTC One M9, so we can’t wait to discover these figures next month. We just wish software updates to existing handsets wasn’t this type of slow process.
